Task Five : My product i believe no Make-up user should be without
We have been asked to reveal our cult beauty product that we believe no make-up user should be without...
In my opinion you should always at least have a few nice expensive make-up products in your make-up bag. The more expensive the better the quality... and there is a difference between a cheap foundation and an expensive foundation no matter what anyone tells you
For foundation I use MAC studio sculpt SPF 15 foundation...I love the MAC brand and I would never change using them even if I changed foundation to another one in their range.
But the product I swear by is MACS studio finish concealer SPF 35
The price of this product is £15.50 which most people would say is pretty steep for a concealer but I believe it is very lightweight while giving full coverage and you could even just put this concealer on without foundation and it looks great also there are lots of different skin tones in this range and if you go into a shop which sells MAC they will match your skin tone to a concealer or foundation for you . It is easy to apply by a brush or your hands and blends really great. I will most likely continue to by this product all the way throughout my life

Task Six : Scottish Make-up Artists
Scottish Make-up Artists

My first choice in a make-up artist from Scotland is Rachel Gallagher, I found her on twitter and her work is great, she is extremely enthusiastic about her work and keeps her followers up to date about what events and films she is doing.
My five questions for these make-up artists
1) Is being a make-up artist what you expected it to be like at the start of it?
2) Are you always pleased with your work you have done or do you sometimes end up disappointed with the outcome?
3) If you had the choice, where in the world would you work as a make-up artist ?
4) What is the best career path to go down for make-up Artistry?
5) Did you always know you wanted to be a make-up artist?

Task four : Favourite Films
SAW
I Love the Saw films, The makeup is so realistic and gory. In each of the saw films they have created new and different ideas for the make-up none of the scenarios are ever the same and that's what I like so much about it.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
The make-up in this film its extraordinary, its so different to other films and the character of Freddy Krueger is very imaginative. The artist has created an effect of burns all over him and makes him look dangerous.

Edward scissor hands
This film is great, I could watch it over and over again and not get sick of it, the make-up is so effective and the scarring of Edwards face looks realistic but it shows that Edward is different to everyone else in the film.

The Joker In Batman
The jokers make-up is scary and dangerous looking, I love this as it gives and edge to him and an uncertainness' about his actions that he is planning to carry out in the film.

Avatar
The make-up in Avatar shows that the creatures are from another world but similar to humans, the blue makes them look aesthetically pleasing.
Here are three uses of wigs used in my top three films with wig use in them
Edward scissor hands : a wig was used for his crazy black hairstyle
Saw: a wig would have been used for the jigsaw dolls hair
Avatar: a wig is used for the avatars long braided hair
Task Three : Expectations of College
Q. What were your expectations of starting the course?
A. I had expectations to meet like minded people with the same interests as myself. To be taught new and exciting things.

A. My initial thought was that tutors treat the students a lot better here than they do in school. I felt like I was being treated so much more like an adult and was being respected more by my lecturer and also peers.
Q. What is the funniest moment of college life so far?
A. There are so many funny times. There is never a dull moment in class
Q. What is the most interesting thing you have learned how to do so far?
A. Making scars and bullet wounds using liquid latex, talcum powder wax and a hairdryer
Q. Who is your makeup idol?
A. I like Pat McGrath, her style of makeup is unique and iconic and I aspire to be like her someday.
Q. Why do you want to be a MUA?

Task Two Make-up Artist

For my Make-up Artist I chose Pat McGrath
who was named the most influential make up
artist in the world today by Vogue Magazine
She takes runway makeup to a new level by making each model stand out
in their own unique way. I enjoy looking at her work and taking ideas from her work and using it to create my own looks.
